The City of Marina is committed to involving the community and ensuring that the content of the 2045 General Plan will be guided by the residents of the City. As such, engaging a diverse cross section of the community throughout the project will be critical to success. See the tabs below for all the past and planned engagement activities related to the project.

Get Involved

Workshops & Pop-ups

These workshops offer formal and informal opportunities to participate in the planning process. Topics include informing and educating on the project, vision and guiding principles, land use alternatives, and policy development.

Online Questionnaires

Participate in an online questionnaire or view past results. Topics will include existing conditions, issues/opportunities, vision, land use alternatives, policy framework, and reviewing the draft plan.

Advisory Comittee

The General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) is a body of community representatives that will collaborate and provide guidance throughout the General Plan Update process. View upcoming and past meeting events and materials here.

City Council Sessions

Attend upcoming meetings or review meeting recordings and materials of past City Council meetings regarding the project.

Environmental Justice

A focused engagement efforts with specific local individuals and organizations providing feedback regarding the plan's policy direction on environmental justice issues.
